a great pediatrician
Fred and I are the same age and came to the mountains at the same time, meeting at the Mountain Pediatric Society and sharing stories of difficult cases. I was always impressed that Fred had the courage to go solo out in Franklin. Unless you have been there, you don't realize the stress of caring for children who are very ill. Doing it on your own is even more difficult. Fred was able to handle that stress and had an abundance of courage. The people of Franklin have lost a great doctor.
