The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Frederick Berger can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: We moved with our new baby Michael to
Highlands in 1981 where we lived until 1988. Dr.Berger was the greatest pediatrician ever! We have never forgotten his kindness and care. Michael is 33 now and about to have his first child. How very many young people his age remember what a great difference Dr.Berger made for them as children! We were all blessed to have known such an exceptional man.

Condolence: Dr. Berger was such a sweet, kind and compassionate man. I can't begin to tell you what a gift that is to a first time nervous mother. Many years ago when my children were babies, Dr. Berger could put me at ease no matter what the problem. A life well lived and loved by so many, what a blessing he was!

Condolence: My prayers and thoughts are with you. The only physician in Franklin that won my respect. He was a true healer and helped many of the children that grew up in Macon County from the 70's until the time he retired. He will be missed

Condolence: Lee and girls- what a loss for Franklin and especially to the Berger family. I had such respect for Fred as a doctor, a human being and an actor. He had such a dry sense of humor and I remember he saved me when I forgot my line in "Oklahoma" and fed me the line when he realized I was lost- I laugh when I think about how panicked I was and how cool headed he was. I also appreciate all the attention he gave my girls as their doctor. What a wonderful man. Our prayers are with your family.
