Condolences

Condolence From: Steve Hall
Condolence: Dale and I were Freshmen in the VA Tech Cave Club together. We had many adventurous and fun caving trips together and continued to talk at the OTR Caver's Reunion throughout the years. I will never forget your great smile and attitude and will always remember and love you, my friend.

Condolence: I knew Dail from the VPI and caving at VPI and the DC Grotto from about 1967 on. I last saw him in the last year or two at VPI and he talked abput his new house which he seemed to love so. I was also looking into building and we talked and exchanged E-Mails on the subject. Good folk and will miss him.

Condolence: Dale was an outstanding individual with many skills who was always an asset on any trip. I remember caving with him in the 1970's and going to such caves as Paxton's and Warm River. He had a good sense of humor and a quick wit, which endeared him to many people.

God bless him and his family for he will be sorely missed.

Condolence: I met Dale right after I got out of the army 45 years ago through caving. The friendship subsequently grew via other activities such as hiking, backpacking and family get-togethers. He is missed.

Condolence: I knew Dale through the Cave Club while we were students at VPI. He was always adventurous and athletic. I last saw him at OTR in 1986. He had not changed. Just an all around good guy with a big smile and an easy laugh. Seemed like everybody knew Dale. I am sure that he will be missed by many. I am proud to have known him as a friend.

Condolence: So sad to learn about Dale. He and I went to high school and college together and started caving at about the same time. While it's been several years since we last saw one another, we would always spend some time to catch up on our lives when we did get together. My thoughts are with Susan and the rest of the family.

Condolence: Dale was certainly loved and thought of frequently. Charlie mentioned both of you not too long ago. Talked of a visit. But life interferes, especially with kids. Our prayers are with you Susan and your family during the days to come. May the peace of our Lord be with you and all who knew and loved Dale.
