RIP, Rocky, the Michael Angelo of Macon County, the Van Gogh of the Appalachians. You represented something very important to so many of us, as an artist and with your generosity, despite all the demons you had to wrestle. You made this place better by being here, Rocky. I hope I can learn from you, to make more art and to be more generous, like you. I hope you're flying with silver hummingbirds with plenty of good pens and paints. Deepest condolences to family and loved ones.
