Jeffery Martin Yates, 36, of Franklin, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 13, 2009.

Born in Pasadena, CA, he was the son of Robert Yates and Linda Kay Hayes Yates. He was preceded in death by an aunt, Bertha Riley. He moved to Franklin from Zephyrhills, FL in May. Jeff enjoyed building models, video games and old movies.

In addition to his parents, Robert and Linda Yates of Franklin, he is survived by two brothers, Chris Yates of Warrenton, VA, Billy Yates of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Laura Anderson of Winter Haven, FL; three aunts, Barbara Johnson and husband Joe of Franklin, Susan Yates of Largo, FL and Patricia Yates of Inman, SC; six nephews and four nieces.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 24, at Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Jason Watts will officiate.

Memorial donations may be made to the Lewis Rathbun Center, 121 Sherwood Road, Asheville, NC 28803.
