Carolyn Grier Boatwright, 91, of Franklin, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016.

Born in West Palm Beach, FL, she was the daughter of the late Ervin Grier and Mary Shea. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Boatwright who died January 14, 2013 and a son, Billy Boatwright who died December 20, 2013; three brothers, Jack, John and Bob Grier. She was a member of Patton United Methodist Church. Carolyn loved her time at Boatwright Auction where she worked concessions for many years. She was the oldest recipient of the Serve Safe Food Service certificate, missing only one question on her exam. She also loved her flower gardening.

She is survived by three sons, Thomas Boatwright and wife Marie of Shooting Creek, NC; Richard Boatwright of Westville, FL and Jeff Boatwright and wife Evelyn of Franklin; daughter-in-law, Kay Boatwright of Warne, NC; one sister, Midge Brisson of Palm Harbour, Florida; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Cloer and Rev. Andy Cloer will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Keith Boatwright, Dwayne Boatwright, Rich Boatwright, Doug Boatwright, and Eric Boatwright and Blaine Keener.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Cloer, Marty Tulley, Jerry Sanders and Blake Arnold.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
