Ernest Hugh  Holleman Jr.
Ernest Hugh Holleman, Jr., 86, of Franklin, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015.

Born in Cordele, GA, he was the son of the late Ernest Hugh Holleman, Sr. and Frances Mildred Aultman Holleman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita “Nita” Holleman. Hugh was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII; retired Postmaster in Leesburg, FL; minister of the gospel for over 40 years; member of Grace Baptist Church; was an avid golfer and enjoyed gospel music and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Talley Holleman; three sons, Steve Holleman and wife Linda of Chapin, SC, Leslie Holleman and wife Linda of Orangeburg, SC and Bruce Holleman and wife Shirley of Columbia, SC; three step children, Margaret Bishop and husband, Brad, James “Tweetie” Elliott, Sr. and wife Kelly and Kathy Holland, all of Franklin; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Grace Baptist Church. Rev. Frank Rodriguez and Rev. Michael Hendricks will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, at Grace Baptist Church.

His golfing buddies will serve as Pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations can be made to the Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, 139 Setser Branch Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
