Rebecca Dalton Vickers, 96, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Dalton and Lillie Shepherd Dalton. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Stevens who died in 1976 and second husband, Lester Vickers who died in 2008; three brothers, John, Pratt and Theodore Dalton; sister, Della Lou Shepherd and son-in-law, Arlon Cloer, Jr. Rebecca was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was an enthusiast Atlanta Braves fan and was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Stevens and wife Sara of Franklin and Gary Stevens and wife Edelgard of N. Augusta, SC; two daughters, Carolyn Mahan and husband Mel of Muscle Shoals, AL and Ann Cloer of Blythe, GA; step daughter, Ruth White of Sylacauga, AL; and nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held 11 am Tuesday, January 6, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Andy Cloer, Rev. John Hartley and Rev. Charles Stevens will officiate. Burial will be in the Shepherd Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice House Foundation of WNC, PO Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.
