Bessie R. Moses, 83, of Franklin, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014.

Born in Jackson Co, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Russell and Pearl Rochester Russell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Clyde Edmond Moses, who died September 17, 2006; sister, Bertha Chestnut and three brothers, Leonard, Paul and Edgar. Bessie was an active member of Higdonville Baptist Church, serving as Sunday school teacher and choir member. She was a very talented seamstress and an excellent cook. Most of all she was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her beloved companion, Boyd Team; two children, Connie Corbin and husband David and Charlene Bryson both of Franklin; two step children, Carmella Pruett and husband Tom and Ed Moses and wife Mary Lou Moses both of Franklin; brother, Johnnie Ray Russell of St. Louis, MO; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at11 a.m. Monday, November 10, at Higdonville Baptist Church. Rev. Mack Hutson and Rev. Ronnie Owens will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lawton Houston, Lloyd McCall, Earl Towery, Larry Raby, Randall Hegwood, Ricky Bryson and Heath Higdon.
