As I shopped for clothes on Monday afternoon, I had a sudden recollection, sort of a déjà vu moment... In March of 1996, Keith and I were shopping for clothes to wear to my wife's visitation and service...we both had realized that we had nothing suitable that fit.... I had had that same realization Monday morning.
Keith and I met in the early fall of 1975, and even tho we moved in different circles through the years, our paths joined many times, usually in conjunction with work or a hobby that one of us was involved in.
Twice, I was Keith's 'teacher', and he ended up staying after I had moved on. Then he was my boss as we worked side by side for far too short a time... We often didn't see things the same, us both being headstrong, but Keith had the gift of being able to leave work issues at work... then relax and have fun...until the next day at work.
He was my 'brother' in Several ways, Public Safety, travel, and amateur radio to name a few. He stood up for me and beside me, not behind me, more than once, and tho it cost him dearly, he never complained within my hearing.
I am a better man for having known him, and I will miss him.
Rest and Rejoice my good friend
Rick Henry
