Obituary for James Bottomley

James “Jim” Eric Bottomley, 67, of Franklin, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Eric Bottomley and Valborg “Billie” Kiehne Bottomley. He was a master carpet installer for most of his life, but his lifelong mission was helping others. He was a member of the Healthy Carolinians and their substance abuse task force; and was instrumental in bringing the Oxford House for Women to Franklin. Jim enjoyed fishing, wood bowl carving and living in the mountains.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Tina Halili Bottomley; two daughters, Jennifer Bottomley (Shawn Arnold) of Cinnaminson, NJ and Ivy Riddles (Mike) of Williamstown, NJ; two sisters, Jane O’Sullivan and Dale Squarcetta both of Philadelphia, PA; and four grandchildren, Jack Arnold, Alex Arnold, M.J. Riddles, and Mason Riddles.

A private service will be held at a later date.
