Obituary for Charles Lewis Sherrill

Charles Lewis Sherrill
Charles Lewis Sherrill was a blessing to this world for 40 wonderful years. He was the son of Charles D. Sherrill and Betty H. Sherrill, a man that walked with the character of God. He was a light of hope to many. He had a confident, humble spirit with a heart that loved with all of who he was created to be; an imagination that would go beyond playtime with his kids; a devoted father that loved all four of his children; Krystin, Zach, Madisyn and Tinley; his granddaughter Fayedin, with all his heart. A friend that would stand beside you to help with anything thrown at him, my husband, my best friend, the love of my life. This world was a big maze but from the moment I met Charlie, he made everything seem possible. God chose Charlie to bring so much happiness, hope, encouragement to each person he met. As time has passed, Charlie had trials and he experienced heartbreak. He has loved, been brave and strong. He was a hard worker. He was tested but his faith stood, brought victory, moved mountains and brought glory to God. My husband was a warrior, a fighter, a man of God that no matter what would come at him, he kept his eyes fixed on the Lord. I am blessed he chose to love me. Charlie is/was my peace on earth, my strength, and my protector. I trusted him with all my heart because he is my gift from God. Charlie, your testimony will touch many people. I hope you know how much you mean to so many people and how proud God is of you. Charles Lewis Sherrill made a difference in this world. He was a mighty man of God. I will love you today, tomorrow, forever and always.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 19 years, Lisa Dills Sherrill; three daughters, Madisyn Sherrill and Tinley Sherrill both of Hayesville, Krystin Sherrill of Franklin; one son, Zach Sherrill of Hayesville; one granddaughter, Fayedin Higdon of Franklin; two sisters DeDe Dills and Terrie Kendrick both of Franklin; three nephews; one niece and two great nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 2nd, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Shep Calhoun and Rev. Lewis Crisp will officiate.
The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
