Obituary for Frances "Vickie" Renegar

Frances “Vickie” Renegar, 88, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.

Born in Princeton, FL, she was the daughter of the late Walter McVicker and Zoe Howard McVicker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Thomas Renegar; brother, Walter McVicker and two sisters, Colleen L’Heureux and Geri Springer. Vickie was one of the first female motorcycle police officers in Coral Gables, FL. She loved driving her stock car, riding her Harley and earned her 100K mile riding-pin. She was a councilwoman at Hialeah Gardens, FL. She was a loving “Nana” to her grandchildren and relocated to be closer to her family. Vickie enjoyed flowers, gardening, hummingbirds and loved to camp. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sevierville, TN where she was very involved.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Lequire and husband Mike of Franklin; five grandchildren, Kelley Renegar-Lequire, Kyle Renegar Lequire, Kolton Renegar Lequire, Ashley Roper (Ben) and Anna Trietley (Keith) and five great grandchildren, Nicholas, Peyton, Garrett, Jonah and Sam.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 13th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Craig Mintz will officiate. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 14th in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m., Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Renegar Lequire, Kolton Renegar Lequire, Ben Roper, Shane Corbin, Jake Burt and Kyle Tippett.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
