Obituary for Earl Garland Stinson Jr.

Earl  Garland  Stinson Jr.
Earl Garland Stinson, Jr., 74, of Franklin, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018.

Born in Rocky Mount, NC, he was the son of the late Earl Garland Stinson, Sr. and Elva Waldroop Carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lester “Tommy” Stinson. He was a US Navy veteran; heavy equipment operator for CW Matthews Construction; avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed camping.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Karen McCall Stinson; daughter, Debbie Crawford of Franklin; two brothers, Jimmy Stinson of Franklin and Tim Stinson (Natalie) of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Susie McConnell (Dee) of Franklin; two granddaughters, Amberly and Kelsey Crawford; one great grandson, Gage Smith; special friend Carolyn Hixson and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 15th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Mark Bishop will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
