Obituary for Margaret Jeanne Hoot (Hannah)

Margaret  Jeanne  Hoot (Hannah)
Margaret Jeanne Hannah Hoot, 73, of Franklin, passed away, Sunday, January 28, 2018.

Marge was predeceased by her husband, Doug in 2014; her parents, Alvin and Dorothy Hannah; adopted brother, John Hannah and half sister, Gladys Treichel.

Marge was a member of Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church and was recording secretary for the Trustees and also the Administrative Council.

She was an avid reader and loved going to the casinos with friends.

She is survived by her step daughter, Michelle VanNortwick; close friends, Sonny and Mildred Wallace, Donnie and Judy Wallace, Dave and Judy Hurd and Larry and Elizabeth Norris. She is also survived by her cherished cats, Duncan and Dudley.

She was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, and was employed by the State of Michigan, Department of Transportation, as a legal secretary for 30 years, retiring in June of 1991 and moving to Franklin.

Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 1, at Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church. Rev. David Crunkleton will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
