Obituary for Lynn Dulakis

Lynn  Dulakis
Lynn Dulakis, 69, of Franklin, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018.

Born in Springfield, IL, he was the son of the late John Dulakis and Myrna Harbour Dulakis. Lynn served as minister for many years, pastoring two churches in Wisconsin and Illinois; he worked for the Macon County Sheriff’s Department for the last 14 years, serving as deputy, bailiff and chaplain. He enjoyed reading, studying his bible, woodworking and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Loretta McIntosh Dulakis; son, Bill Dulakis of Lubbock, TX; daughter, Cherie Heiny of Deltona, FL; brother, Dennis Dulakis (Karen) of Edinburg, IL; four grandchildren, Ryanne Lynn Heiny, Daniel Heiny, Billy Dulakis (Laney) and Shaina Dulakis; one great grandchild, Bryce Dulakis and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Josh Brooks, Rev. Brandon Breedlove and Rev. Greg Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, at Macon Funeral Home.

Macon County Sheriff’s Department deputies will serve as Pallbearers.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
