Condolence: I am sorry this post is late, but I just found out about Mike. Mike and I grew up together in the Baptist Church, and we were in the same class in school. He is only the second one in my class to pass away. I remember him being able to play the organ by ear with no sheet music at all. We would sometimes sneak in to the empty sanctuary, and he would play while I listened. Although I have not been in touch with him in years, I sure thought the world of him, and I want the family to know how sorry that I am for your loss.

Condolence: Uncle Mikey was a rare soul. I accredit him with my love of, and taste in music. I will always remember our side conversations and our similar senses of humor. He brought out the side of me that rarely shows itself, and I can never thank him enough for helping me appreciate the uniqueness of myself and how I should never change who I am. I love you Uncle Mikey, I will see you again soon.

Condolence: I will always remember Mikey for the way he could play honky-tonk on the piano. He has a permanent place in my childhood. I will always remember him for his quiet smile and hello whenever I would see him. He has a permanent place in my mind. And I will always remember him for the extraordinary care he took of my parents. For this, he has a permanent place in my heart. He never HAD to do any of these things. He just did them. So, Mikey, stay by my daddy's side in heaven -- playing piano, smiling, and caring. And when I think of the two of you together, I will try to put aside the tears -- and smile.

Condolence: Mikey and his entire family have always been a part of my life while growing up on Crisp Road. I will always be grateful for the help Mikey gave my mom & dad. His smile and never ending kindness will be greatly missed. Makes me smile through this sadness in my heart to know my dad has such awesome company; add in Greg Allman and I am sure things are lively in Heaven. Edna, Jack and Chuck my thoughts and prayers are with you all. It is so hard to believe that Mikey and my dad are gone, life on Crisp Road will never be the same.

Condolence: Mikey was our neighbor for my entire childhood. He was one of my father's great friends and one of our family's favorite people. My best memories are when he would come and tune our piano. I think we asked him to come just so the piano got some use, but I loved hearing him play. I also have fond memories of going up to their house to check out the fins on one of his cars, I think it was pink. All I remember was it was really big. It gives me such peace to know that he is up in Heaven with my Dad, and they are chilling out and getting the chance to do the things they loved. My Dad listening to music and Mikey playing music. He will always be part of my family.
