Obituary for Roger Lee Stewart

Roger Lee  Stewart
Roger Lee Stewart, 75, of Franklin, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.

Born in Conneaut, OH, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Beulah Page Stewart. Roger was a Military Police and US Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VVA Chapter 994 and loved wood working and wire art. He was a member of First Alliance Church.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joanne Stewart; three children, John Stewart and Beth of Jensen Beach, FL, Traci Fort of Franklin and David Higgins and wife Diana of Columbus, OH; two brothers, Ross Shears of Alabama and Bill Shears of Ohio; one sister, Kathi Tanner of Alabama; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018 at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Scott Eichelberger will officiate with the VVA Chapter 994 performing full military rites. A reception will follow from 5-8:00 p.m., at Macon Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VVA Chapter 994, 249 Sloan Rd.
