Obituary for Sarah Belle Angel (Dowdle)
Sarah Belle Dowdle Angel, 92, of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017.
Born in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Tillman J. Dowdle and Hester Belle Elliott Dowdle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl B. Angel and six brothers and sisters. Sarah enjoyed word searches and was a member of Mashburn Branch Baptist Church.
She is survived by two children, Larry Angel and wife Brenda of Franklin, Carlene Hunnicutt and husband James of Union, SC; three grandchildren, Jeremy Angel and wife Jennifer of Franklin, Angela Stewart of Union, SC and Jon Hunnicutt and wife Jessie of Union, SC and three great grandchildren, Phillip and Hannah Angel and James Robert Hunnicutt.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 29th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Ernie Sanders and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Don Deal, David Deal, Lamon Brown, Isaac Gibson, RL Gibson and Alvin Mashburn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bethel UMC Cemetery Fund, 81 Bethel Church Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
