Obituary for Donald Lewis Cranfield

Donald Lewis Cranfield, 84, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017.

Born in Flint, Michigan, he was the son of the late Lewis Benjamin Cranfield and Evelyn Gilson Cranfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Lewis Cranfield and grandson, Daniel Alexander Cranfield. Don was a US Army veteran and served during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post 108, the Muzzle Loaders (Nantahala Mountaineers) and a member of Patton United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jo Ann Cranfield; his daughter, Virginia Cranfield of Franklin; one brother, Thomas Dale Cranfield of Montgomery, AL; three godchildren, Jose, Alexandria and Sara; one niece and three nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 27th at Patton United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Vic Greene will officiate.
