Carroll Kenneth Jacobs, 91, of Sarasota, FL, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Eugene Lawrence and Bessie Baldwin Jacobs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Rosa Lee Whittington Jacobs and a sister, Kate. Carroll was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the 104th Timberwolf Division, 415th Regiment anti-tank company. He was an auto body technician and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Sarasota, FL.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Jacobs and wife Barbara of Clinton Township, MI and Jerry Jacobs and wife Barbara of West Bloomfield, MI; two brothers, J.C. Jacobs and wife Frankie and Radford Jacobs of Franklin; two sisters, Lois Meadows of Franklin and Helen Byrd of Hendersonville; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 16 at Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Janet Greene will officiate. VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108 will conduct military rites.
