Jaquelin "Jack" Fisher, Jr., 92 of Otto, NC passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017.
Born in Miami, FL, he was the son of the late Jaquelin Fisher, Sr. and Katherine Nelson Fisher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Johanna Fisher Custar and by his wife of 70 years, Jeanne Fisher who died January 3, 2016
Jack was a US Navy veteran of World War II and served as a Diesel Engineer on the USS Shark (ii) submarine. He retired from the Thompson Door Company, Miami FL, where he worked as a superintendent and he also volunteered for Meals on Wheels, serving the Macon County area for many years. Jack was a Shepherd at the First Presbyterian Church in Franklin. He had a great appreciation of the arts and big band music, he was an avid reader, a skilled woodworker, and had a limitless love of nature and animals.
Jack is survived by two daughters, Juliette Fisher of Cullowhee NC, and Julianne Gros of Orlando, FL; one son, Jaquelin Fisher of Otto, NC, and one granddaughter, Olivia Gros of Orlando, FL.
