Obituary for Andrew Thomas "Andy" Lane

Andrew Thomas "Andy"  Lane
Andrew Thomas “Andy” Lane, 51, of Kennesaw, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

Born in Haywood County, NC, he was the son of Grace Erwin Lane and the late William “Tom” Lane. Andy was a US Marine Corp veteran; member of the American Legion of Kennesaw, GA and site inspector for NOVA Engineering. He was an expert marksman, loved going to the firing range; enjoyed fishing and camping and never met a stranger.

In addition to his mother, Grace, he is survived by a sister, Carol Justice of Franklin; two brothers, Jim Lane and Phillip Lane (Lori) both of Franklin; nieces and nephews, Trevor Justice, Laney Grace Justice, Dylon Tucker, Lacey Tucker (Adam Karpisek); great niece, Elissia Lane Karpisek; aunts and uncles, Paul Erwin (Peggy) of Canton, Peggy Erwin of Canton, Max Price of Black Mountain, NC and Bernice “Bing” Lane of Leicester and several first cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 7, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Vic Greene, Rev. Janet Greene and Rev. Kelly Dotson will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108 will conduct military rites.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
