Obituary for Nelle Green (Bingham)
Nelle Bingham Green, 86, of Franklin, passed away, Friday, May 19, 2017.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late, Richard and Elsie Dowdle Bingham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buster; son, Doug; brother, Dick Bingham; sisters, Mary Dryman, Sallie Passmore, Elma Bates, Esta Mae Stepp and Annie Scott. Nelle was a member of Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Tommy Green (Laura) and Roy Green both of Franklin and Troy Green (Melania) of Fort Mitchell, AL; daughter, Shirley Green of Orlando, FL; two sisters, Birdie Suttle of Charlotte, Mildred Russell of Albermarle; brother, Ted Bingham of Harlem, GA; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. David Green, Rev. Andy Cloer and Rev. David Crunkleton will officiate. Burial will be in the Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Macon Funeral Home, at other times the family will be at the home of Tommy Green, 1142 Louisa Chapel Road, Franklin.
Pallbearers will be Tim Cochran, Bobby Dills, Curtis Green, Steve Passmore and Billy Houston.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Cloer and Gary Holland.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
