Obituary for Mildred Norman (Franks)
Mildred Franks Norman, 59, of Sylva, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Jimmy Franks and Margaret Pressley Franks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael and three brothers, Herman, Carl and Louis. Mildred was a member of Black Mountain Baptist Church, Cullowhee and was a CNA at Morningstar Nursing Home. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Henford “Tater” Norman; two children, James Norman and Mark Norman both of Sylva; two sisters, Christine Angel and Sarah Holbrooks both of Franklin and three grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 9, at Black Mountain Baptist, Cullowhee. Rev. Johnny Norris, Rev. Eddie Stillwell and Rev. Bobby McClure will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service at the church.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
