Obituary for Frances Cooper Trick (Cooper)

Frances Veronica Cooper Trick, 94, of Hayesville, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017.

Born on July 30, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Sabina Barbara Loeffler Cooper and Clarence Burnett Cooper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Trick; son-in law, Larry Pegues and brother, Edwin Joseph Cooper. Frances received her master’s degree in education from the University of Miami; she retired from Miami-Dade County school system after a career which began after she raised her children and went back to college, a fact of which her family is very proud. Frances was a devoted prayer-warrior. She was a member of the Gem Country Republican Women’s Club where she held several different offices and the Franklin Federated Women’s Club. She was also a member of Higdonville Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children, Laura Pegues of Warne, NC, William Watson Trick, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Coconut Creek, FL and Julie Teague and her husband Keith of Hayesville; one brother, Eugene Cooper and his wife Jeanne of Berkley Heights, NJ; nine grandchildren, Margaret Crowell, Tamara Pegues, Sabina Taylor, Meryl Trick, Stephanie Holmes, Jaime Miller, Jeffrey Miller, Joseph Trick and Suzanne Trick; fifteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and especially cherished friends, Pamela Volpert and Peggy Barbro.

A private graveside service will be held at Higdonville Baptist Church Cemetery.
