Frances Elizabeth Smith, 81, of Franklin, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2017.

Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late John T. Angel and Willie Mae Franks Angel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Allen Smith; one son, David Smith; two sisters, Maude Angel and Pat Angel and two brothers, John Wiley “Bud” Angel and Bob Angel. Frances attended Mount Harmony Baptist Church. She enjoyed being outdoors, taking walks and working in her flower garden and spending time with her great grandson, Brennen.

She is survived by one son, Roger Smith of Georgia; eight sisters, Lois Angel of High Point, Linda Woods of Conover, NC, Mary Rachel Cabe, Nannie Belle Ledford, Lela Guy, Edna Angel, Lucy Hardin and Neal Ryals all of Franklin; two grandchildren, Jason Smith and Stephanie Smith McConnell; one great-grandson, Brennen McConnell and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 20, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Darren Cochran, Rev. Jason Smith and Rev. Vic Greene will officiate. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, February 19, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Cabe, Rick Ledford, Tim Ledford, Chris Norton, Michael Norton and Dereck Jones.
