Obituary for Correna Hooper (Cochran)

Correna   Hooper (Cochran)
Correna Cochran Hooper, 84, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, February 08, 2017.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Sylvester Cochran and Ollie Lee Pendergrass Cochran. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hooper; daughter, Debra Lee; infant son; two brothers, Harold Clifton Cochran and Charles Blanton Cochran and two sisters, Elsie Sanford and Verlie Mae Chambless and her beloved son-in-law, James Smith. Correna was a member of Burningtown Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Peggy Hannah and husband James, Gail Dills and husband Tommy, Janet Reed and husband Clinton and Vickie Smith all of Franklin; two sisters, Faye Swanson of Franklin and Emma Jean Lazenby of Newbern, GA; brother, Tommy Cochran of Franklin; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 10 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Kinard and Rev. Tracy Tallent will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 9, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Issac Gibson, Ronnie Hooper, Greg Dills, Brian Estes, Jeremy Reed and Darren Cochran.

Grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
