Obituary for Willa Mae Bumgarner (Jones)
Willa Mae Jones Bumgarner, 81, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017.
Born in Jackson Co, she was the daughter of the late Jess Jones and Buena Nations Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters, Felix Jones, Annie Sue Dillard, Naomi Brooks and Clyde Jones. Willa Mae was co-owner and office manager of Bumgarner Electric for 48 years. She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer for over 20 years.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Walter Bumgarner; two children, Donna Sanders and husband Jerry and Jerry Bumgarner and wife Angie both of Franklin; six brothers and sisters, Janette Cabe of Darrington, WA, Dora Lee Nations of Sylva, Jolene Davis of Sylva, Cleo Coggins of Macon, GA, Doris Beasley of Sylva and Peggy Cooper of Lacey, Washington; four grandchildren, Stephen Sanders and Ashley Higgs, Kaitlin Williams and husband Brandon, Alex Bumgarner and Morgan Bumgarner; one great grandson, Grayson Sanders and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 27th at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Rev. Guy Duvall, Rev. Tommy Fouts and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26th at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Alex Bumgarner, Stephen Sanders, Brandon Williams, Joe Taylor, Bobby McMahan and Darrell Mason.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and employees of Bumgarner Electric.
