Obituary for Alice Holleman (Talley)

Alice Talley Elliott Holleman, 87, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017.

Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Will Talley and Dovie Henry Talley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Sidney Eugene Elliott and her second husband Hugh Holleman; three brothers, Ernest W., Clyde and Roger Talley; one sister, Betty Cochran and one grandson, James “Jimmy” R. Elliott, Jr. Alice enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, flowers and cooking. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, James R. “Tweetie” Elliott, Sr. and Kelly of Franklin; two daughters, Margaret Bishop and husband Brad and Kathy Holland both of Franklin; one sister, Jane Cabe of Franklin; three grandchildren, Kim Bishop, Casey Holland and Jamie Cole; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 22nd at Grace Baptist Church. Rev. Frank Rodriguez, Rev. Vic Greene and Rev. Bobby Cloer will officiate. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m., prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Sam Lee, JR Dendy, Larry Ledford, Mitchell Bowman, Timothy Rodriguez, Bobby Cloer and Joe O’Brien.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, C/O Joyce Ledford, 1290 N. Blaine Branch Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
