Obituary for Caledin James Wylupek

Caledin James Wylupek, 21, of Franklin, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of Joseph and Deborah Wylupek. Caledin was active in swimming and football at Franklin High School. He also enjoyed swimming and playing soccer in the community leagues. He graduated from New Visions Academy and joined the 210th MP Co. Army National Guard. Caledin was a member of Flight 06 with Mountain Top Chrysalis in 2010 and remained a part of the family formed at Camp Living Water. He was currently attending North Carolina A&T State University, where he was studying Criminal Justice and played flag football. He enjoyed knife collecting and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Michael and Sharron Hoffman of Seffner, FL; two sisters, Lydia and Emily Wylupek both of Franklin. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17th at Franklin Covenant Church. Pastor John Makinson will officiate. Full Military Rites will be conducted by the North Carolina Army National Guard Military Funeral Honors.

The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Yokel, Jesse Pinkston, Michael McGee, Dustin Woods, Chad Allen and Sean Gerhart.

Honorary Pallbearer in absentia is Nathan Miles.
