Obituary for Terry Lee Osborne

Terry Lee Osborne, a resident of Franklin, NC since 2009 and previously of Marlboro, NY, died October 21, 2016 at his residence.

Born in Hartford, CT on May 17, 1944, he was the son of Lois Flewwellin Osborne and Albert Henry Osborne. He was a graduate of Otego Central School and the State University at Cobbleskill. He served in the US Army and was employed by Brewster Transit Mix for over 25 years retiring in 2009.

Survivors include his wife, Dora Gail Rabe Osborne, who he married on October 22, 2005; two daughters, Jennifer Burley and husband Phil and Karolyn Thompson and husband Ben. Two step daughters, Janice Burgess and husband Max, Susan Nunez and husband Mauricio; two step sons, James Rabe and wife Susannah and Thomas Rabe and wife Kate and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two sisters, Cheryl Babb and Joann Morano, a brother Rick Osborne and his beloved nephew, Chris Babb.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. His stepchildren cared for him deeply and saw him as a trusted friend.

He loved to fish and work in his garden. He supplied the neighbors with fresh vegetables all summer long.

He was an active participant at Snow Hill United Methodist Church and especially loved being the Greeter.

A Memorial Service will be held at Snow Hill United Methodist Church, 330 Snow Hill Road, Franklin, NC at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29th.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Snow Hill United Methodist church Memorial Fund.
