Ralph Cleveland Rice, 73, of Franklin, NC, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016.

Born in Jackson County, NC, he was the son of the late Grover and Doris Collins Rice. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Steve. Ralph attended Clarks Chapel United Methodist Church and was an avid Nascar fan.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda; son, Phil Rice and wife Sandy of San Diego CA; daughter, Joan Welch and husband Jeff of Franklin, NC; five grandchildren; brothers, GF Rice of Brevard, NC and David Rice of Rosman, NC; sister, Carolyn Stiwinter of Franklin, NC.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Clarks Chapel United Methodist Church in Franklin, NC. Rev. Johnny Norris and Rev. Jamie Passmore will officiate. Burial will be in the Clarks Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
