Condolence: Sandy, and Family
I worked for Dave (We called him Smokey) as a Summer Helper for the City of Highland Park Illinois for 4 summers during my college years of 69-72.
Dave was our City's first Forester and was saddled with the sad duty of fighting Dutch Elm in a city with as many Elms as people. Today many of his replacements are mature Trees. Dave by my second summer entrusted me with more that I had ever hoped for.
The education I received those summers far surpasse college. We were friends for life. We will remain so today and in the future. Not a week goes by when I see his trees growing that I dont remember him showing up on a project he entrusted to me and leaving with a smile on his face. I have written to the City of HP Forester and will donate a tree in his honor.
How lucky I am to still have Smokey as my friend.

Condolence: We are sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. He is free from hurt, worry, or any sadness now and forever.
Nice when you have wonderful memories to share, and we are sure the grandsons will cherish the memories they have of him. Granddads are special to their grands.
