Obituary for David Kussow

David Lawrence Kussow passed into Spirit, March 2, 2016.

He was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on August 4, 1941, the son of Lawrence Edward Kussow and Irene Mildred Vetter Kussow who preceded him in death, as well as his little adopted brother, Dickie Kussow.

His physical presence will be greatly missed by his loving family; his wife, Sandy Hedstrom Kussow; daughter, Jacqueline Kussow-Sroka; son, Kevin Kussow; 4 grandsons, Rion Kussow, Brayden Sroka, Keaton Sroka and Maddox Kussow; daughter-in-law, Michele Kussow; son-in-law, Craig Sroka; sister, Dawn Thomas of Maryland and brother, Jim Kussow of Florida.

Dave graduated from Southern Illinois University with degrees in Horticulture and Forestry and a Masters in Turf Management. Dave's life's work here has encompassed many facets; Highland Park Illinois' First City Forester, retail/ wholesale; landscaping nursery owner in Leesburg, Florida; Three Eagles Outfitters, head of the family; deliverer of Meals on Wheels in Franklin, NC for over 15 years, an Astronomer (as is his son), Philosopher, Consulere who has touched many lives in many places.

In lieu of flowers etc., Dave would say "Do something for someone else", "Plant a tree”; “Make this World a better place".

Private services for immediate family have been held.

The Kussows will plant a tree in Dave’s honor at Mountain Hollow. Should you wish to come, you can call Kevin, Jackie or Sandy.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
