Obituary for Kate Jacobs (Anderson)
Kate Anderson Jacobs, 87, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Anderson and Annie Mae Womack Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Rogers; three brothers, Jim, J.B. and Haven and two sisters, Leota and Polly. Kate was a member of Iotla Baptist Church. She worked as a bookkeeper at Zickgraf , was the co-owner of Dutch Delight Café and was an Avon Sales Representative.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Radford Jacobs; two sons, Larry Jacobs and Scottie Jacobs both of Franklin; sister, Jo Hamel of Asheville; brother, Elbert "Jud" Anderson, Jr. of Mountain City, GA; three grandchildren, Todd Bennett and wife Sharon; Andrew Jacobs and wife Whitney and Shanda Jacobs; great granddaughter, Macie and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 14, at Iotla Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday, at the church.
Memorial donations can be made to the Iotla Baptist Church or Autumn Care Nursing Home.
