Obituary for Ted Lawton Queen

Ted Lawton  Queen
Ted Lawton Queen, 68, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Edgar Queen and Maude Roper Queen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Queen who died in 2000 and a brother, Jack Queen. Ted worked for Desoto Trail Trucking; was a member of Tellico Baptist Church; attended Central Baptist Church and loved racing.

He is survived by his three children, Pam Piette (Joe) of Salisbury, NC; Debbie Ammons of Franklin and Marty Queen (Becky Houghtaling) of Chattanooga, TN; brother, Bill Queen of Franklin; two sisters, Betty Parrish of Franklin and Pauline Trivette of Lexington, NC; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 9 am Friday, October 30th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Gary McCoy, Rev. Johnny Raby and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the Roper Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 29th at Macon Funeral Home.

Joseph Bryson, Dalton Rigdon, Buddy Mathis, Joey Ammons, Austin Queen, Kevin Morgan and Joe Piette will serve as Pallbearers. Bruce Harwood will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.
