John  Edwin   O'Neal
John Edwin O’Neal, 86, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015.

Born in Woodlawn, TN, he was the son of the late William Arthur O’Neal and Leona Chester O’Neal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Melva Fisher O’Neal and second wife, Jean Sanderson O’Neal. John retired from the US Navy. He was an avid sportsman and animal lover; he enjoyed feeding the wildlife. John enjoyed helping people and was Methodist by faith.

He is survived by his sister, Jane Vaughn of Franklin.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Vic Green will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Sylva, NC.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
