Robert "Red" Wayne  Jenkins
Robert "Red" Wayne Jenkins, 68, of Otto, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015.

Born in Rabun County, GA, he was the son of the late Hoyt C. Jenkins and Marie Messer Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Shane Jenkins and a great grandson, Brandon Painter. Robert was a painting contractor and a member of South Macon Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Doris Newton Jenkins; four children, David Allen of Franklin; Larry Dabbs of Gastonia; Tammy Jenkins of Eton, GA, and Haley Akins of Dalton, GA; two brothers, Danny Jenkins of Franklin and Jimmy Jenkins of Otto; two sisters, Vivian Heady of Chatsworth, GA and Carolyn Reecer of Otto; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, August 15, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Rick Ballew will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Doris Jenkins, 145 Meadowland Circle, Otto, NC 28763.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
