Virginia Mardelle "Mardee"  Davis
Virginia Mardelle “Mardee” Davis, 92, of Franklin, passed away July 10, 2015.

Born in McLean, IL, she was the daughter of the late Clarence William Mallory and Ruth Florence Anderson Mallory. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Donald Mallory and a sister, Francine Gemlich.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Fred Davis; two brothers, Ted L. Gemlich of Bloomington, MN and Ronald G. Gemlich of W. Terrot, IN; sister-in-law, Jean Mallory of Gridley, IL and several nieces and nephews.

No services are planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Appalachian Animal Rescue Center (aka Macon County Humane Society), 851 Lake Emory Road, Franklin, NC 28734.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
