Vera "Odie"  Williams (Dills)
Vera Dills "Odie" Williams, 75, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Benard Dills and Myrtle Tallent Dills. In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by her son, David Lee Williams, Jr. who died March 19, 2014; brothers and sisters, Rev. Wallace Tallent, Lewis Dills, Gary Dills, Billy Dills, Boyd Dills and Geraldine Scott. Vera retired from Belden and was a member of Watauga Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, David Lee Williams; two sisters, Clara Gibson of Franklin and Juanita Tippett of Virgina; brother, Junior Dills of Monticello, GA and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. David Lee Williams, Rev. Frank Rodriguez, Rev. Jamie Passmore and Rev. Wesley Price will officiate. Burial will be in the Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. one hour prior to the service.
