Obituary for Charles Randolph Keener

Charles Randolph Keener, 85, of Augusta, GA, formerly of Franklin, NC, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Charles Randolph Keener and Pearl Miller Keener. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Keener; two brothers, Roy and Roland and step brother, Dwayne Hedden. Charles retired from the U.S. Marine Corp. and from the FAA. He was a member St. Pauls’s Episcopal Church, Augusta, GA; member of the Shriners, life member of VFW and American Legion and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Audrey Paulette Keener; two step sisters, Polly McCoy of Franklin and Pat Leinbach of Virginia and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 -11:00 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
