George "G.B."  McCall Jr.
George “G.B.” McCall, Jr., 81, of Franklin, passed away March 29, 2015.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late George B. McCall, Sr. and Eva Jane Gregory McCall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Harris and three brothers, Arland, Marlin “Dink” and Bill. George was a U.S. Army veteran; retired from General Motors; worked for Township Police Department in Flint, Michigan; member of Memorial United Methodist Church; enjoyed fishing, gospel music and going to picking on the square. Above all his family was most important to him. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eva Carpenter McCall; four children, Gary McCall and wife Nikki of Franklin, Sherry Corning and husband Dan, Lori Montgomery and husband Ray all of Nashville, TN and Bill Brewer and wife Sharon of Flint, MI; brother, Bob McCall of Franklin; two sisters, Rosalee Bradley of Franklin and Marcella Ayers of Dawson, GA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. April 18, at Memorial United Methodist Church. Rev. Susan German and Rev. Marvin Bachtel will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Youth Mission trips at Memorial United Methodist Church and Patton United Methodist Church.
