Condolence: Dear Marcia & Family,
As soon as we found a home in Muskrat Valley near St. John's Episcopal and started attending services there, it became obvious that you two (Jon & Marcia), were the very living examples of 'strength and courage to love God & each other', and especially in 'serving others with gladness and singleness of heart'. Jon's warmth of spirit and 'gung ho' attitude made a deep impact on us, as he did on everyone who met him. He generousness in his laughter and listening skills with us was always a gift, and we knew his care for our family's affairs was genuine- what better man is there?... like another 'father' we gained in our own lives, full of wisdom, humor and love, Jon's, soul will live on in me and my family all the rest of our days- he was "special"!
We all will miss him dearly- his smile and chuckle, especially- and want you to know that you can call on us if you ever need anything- if even to share more stories about the old South Florida we always talked about, your wonderful family and goings on, your grandchildren- we will always be there for you, as you have been for us...

May God Bless the McGarity Clan

Condolence: I'm sorry to hear of Jon's passing. I pray Christ's peace surrounds his family and friends as they mourn their loss.

We worked together in the early '80s when I first joined the 3M Company. My opinion then and now, 30 years later, is Jon represents the epitome of what an excellent manager should be. He was not only exceedingly capable in all matters of business - he was a true gentleman who cared sincerely for his customers and co-workers. He one of a handful of men in my life who made me want to be a better person.

To his family - I'm so very sorry for your loss, but I hope you are comforted not only by your memories of Jon, but by knowing he had a significant impact on the lives of others. More importantly, he's at peace with our Lord, surrounded by an unbelievable love, and you will see him again in due time.

God created a special soul when He created Jon McGarity. Those of us who knew him were blessed indeed.

Condolence: Dear Marcia, Wendy, Scott and Ann, my prayers are with your sweet families at this difficult time. Jon was such a wonderful person to be around. Always so friendly and upbeat, warm and welcoming to all. He obviously loved his family so much and always had that twinkle in his eyes. His smile lit up many rooms during his lifetime I am sure. May God comfort you in the knowledge that you will see each other again someday in heaven.

Condolence: Some people are said to be endowed by our Creator with a Gift, a talent that sets them apart from others. Fewer still are granted the honor to be Gifters, unique individuals who by grace were placed in our lives to bestow upon us their gifts of life, love, charity and friendship. Those lucky enough to have known Jon received their gifts in various ways, whether it came from the pleasure of his Irish smile, the sparkle in his eyes when he first saw you or simply a thoughtful piece of advice from a man that lead a life of example to us all, as a devoted family man and servant to his community. Jon leaves a legacy as a husband, father, grandfather and friend whose gifts he shared with us will be truly missed. My heart felt sympathies go out to the McGarity family and close friends at this time of grief. We have lost a true Patriarch. At this time of unimaginable loss please hold fast to Jon’s final and greatest Gift he left for us… his faith in the Lord. Take comfort in knowing he is in Heaven watching over us all.
