Obituary for Bobby Nichols
Bobby York Nichols, 69, of Otto, passed away December 19, 2014.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Felix Nichols and Catherine Beasley Nichols. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Tallent Nichols; brother, Hoyt Nichols and a sister, Ann Lamb. Bobby was a US Army veteran, truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Nichols of Lake James, NC and Roberta Nichols of Otto; five sisters, Stella Cunningham and Faye Shirley both of Otto, Margie Blaine of Franklin, Betty Sue Carpenter Easley, SC and Willette Richardson of Liberty, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 am Monday, December 22, at Newman Chapel Baptist Church. Rev. Tom Larocca will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites conducted by the VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am Monday, at the church.
Pallbearers will be David Blaine, Charles Blaine, Shawn Shirley, Larry Shirley, David Nichols and James Hopkins.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
