Lillian Virginia Queen Norton, 75, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014.

Born in Rabun Co, GA, she was the daughter of the late John Claude Queen and Gladys Elizabeth Holcomb Queen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Marshall Norton and four brothers, Bob, TJ, Jim and Dean Queen. Virginia enjoyed gardening, working with flowers and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of South Macon Baptist Church.

She is survived by three children, Renee Smith of Augusta, GA, Chris Norton and wife Missy of Otto and Steve Norton and wife Valerie of Franklin; four brothers, George Queen of Charlotte, NC, Allen Queen of Mtn. City, GA, Calvin Queen of Franklin and Keith Queen of Lockhardt, SC; two sisters, Annette Dockins of Marietta, SC and Barbara Roberts of Marble, NC; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and very special friend, Alsa Simonds.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8th at South Macon Baptist Church. Rev. Alton Dendy, Rev. Albert Grey and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the Newman Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 7th at Macon Funeral Home.

Nephews will serve as Pallbearers.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
