Letha Ledford Stewart, 89, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late, Jim Ledford and Ada Raby Ledford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Stewart who died August 23, 1997 and two infant sons, Tommy Stewart and Gerald Ronald Stewart. Letha retired from Angel Medical Center after 40 years of service. She was a member of Iotla Baptist Church; enjoyed gardening and caring for others.

She is survived by four children, Brenda Burgess and husband Troy(Doc), Carol Collins and husband Monroe, Steve Stewart and wife Linda and Bill Stewart and wife Rose all of Franklin; brother, Sheridan Ledford of Oregon; sister, Elizabeth Jones of Monticello, GA; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, at Iotla Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Reeves and Dr. Jeff Hensley will officiate. Burial will be in the Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, at Macon Funeral Home.

Memorial donations can be made to Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery Fund , c/o Cynthia Rowland, 886 Younce Creek Rd, Franklin, NC 28734 or charity of choice.

Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
