Obituary for Theodore "Ted" Blauser

Theodore "Ted" Blauser
Theodore Allen Blauser, 77, of Whittier, NC, sadly passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at his home in North Carolina. Ted loved the mountains and it is of some comfort that he passed surrounded by the scenery he so loved, the Blue Ridge.

Born in Oil City, PA, he was the son of the late Ralph Blauser and Florence Cleaver Blauser. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Blauser Standridge. He was a US Army veteran and was owner and operator of Florida Water Safari until his retirement. He was an excellent blackjack dealer who loved the game throughout his life.

A consummate story teller and jokester, Ted's family and friends were enriched by his gift of gab.

He is survived by his loving wife, Harriet Adelle Hunter Blauser and his loving children Allison, Elaine, John Allen and Fletcher.

Ted's grandchildren; Maggie, Denise, Dane, Dalton, Nick, Victoria, Rachel, Flint and Angus were a source of pride for him and he lit up every time he talked about them.

He was a loving brother to Janice, Jim and the late Ralph Blauser.

Burial will be in the Bushnell National Cemetery.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. They may be contacted at 828-524-5540.
