James "Dorsey"  Elmore
James “Dorsey” Elmore, 93, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late William Omer Elmore and Ethel Rickman Elmore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Shepard Elmore; brothers, Theodore Elmore and Bill Elmore and sister, Nina Lou Gibson. Dorsey was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, where he was a deacon; he loved his church immensely.

He is survived by a daughter, Rita Enloe and husband Robert of Franklin; sister, Alice Peek and husband Harold of Middleburg, FL; three grandchildren, Tricia Patterson and husband Mark of Birmingham, AL, Michael Enloe and wife Heather of Purcellville, VA and Stephen Enloe and wife Heather of Auburn, AL and six great grandchildren, James and Elizabeth Patterson, Michael and Margaret Enloe and Samuel and Ava Enloe.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23rd at Liberty Baptist Church. Rev. Rick Potts and Rev. Wesley Hooper will officiate. Burial will be in Shepherd Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Mike Enloe, Stephen Enloe, Mark Patterson, James Patterson, Michael Contino, Scott Bailey, Michael Andrew Enloe and Samuel Enloe.

Memorial donations can be made to Liberty Baptist Church.
