Virginia Goodwin “Bunny” Gavin, age 77, of Douglasville, Georgia, was carried to her mansion that Jesus had promised her on Wednesday, August 06, 2014. She was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, on June 6, 1937, the daughter of the late C.B. and Ollie Mae Walker Goodwin. She was a supervisor in the Food Service industry and was a Christian. She kept the faith and finished her race.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Jack Douglas Goodwin and William Nolan Goodwin.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Jean Fouts McManus and husband, Garey, of Winston and Shirley Ann Goodwin of Douglasville; nieces and spouses, Cynthia and Phil Sweet, Kimberly and Jack Tidwell, and Tara and Michael Nettie; great nieces and nephews: Kelsey Lauren Tidwell, Ansley Morgan Tidwell, Abigail Rose Tidwell, Lofton Jack Tidwell, Joshua Ray Tidwell, Meghan Leigh Sweet, Jonathan Evan Sweet and Kevin Michael Sweet. She would want her special niece, Cynthia Fouts Sweet mentioned especially for she was one of her primary care and love givers.

In accordance with her wishes, her body was cremated.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Fouts Family Cemetery in Franklin, North Carolina.
